After the boiler installation, the back office stayed cold (unfortunately). The boiler wasn't faulting. The radiators in that room barely warmed up. The installer started talking about needing a bigger boiler. Before anyone upsized anything, I asked them to check the radiator valves.

After two heating seasons, I can say the Viessmann Vitodens 050-W 24 kW has been a reliable workhorse. It's quiet, the diagnostic code hunting is easier than the old boiler, and the installation paperwork was straightforward. But I won't tell you it's the right choice for every building.
If you have properly sized radiators and someone who knows how to set up weather compensation, a Viessmann boiler is hard to beat. If you want to keep your ecobee thermostat, you can, but you should only do it without sacrificing the outdoor reset control. And if your radiators have old valve cores, fix the radiator springs first. A new boiler won't overcome a valve that won't open.
The best review advice I can give is this: efficiency ratings and brand reputation only count when the system is designed, installed, and commissioned with the same care. Compare quotes line by line, check the radiators, and keep the boiler's controls as smart as possible.
