I'm not saying you should always take the most expensive option. I'm saying the premium for certainty has value, and you can't get it by crossing your fingers. Buy the reliable unit. Replace the air filter correctly. Flush the radiators properly. And if someone tells you a kerosene heater is good enough for the winter, get a second quote.
